Website Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 3, 2026

Mountainside Insurance Management (“Mountainside,” “we,” “us”) is an independent insurance brokerage at 2000 W 104th Ave, Thornton, CO 80234. This policy explains what information we collect through mountainsideins.net, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, phone number, email, business details and the information you enter in our contact forms, quote requests and quote assistant. For a quote, this may include addresses, vehicle and driver details, property details, payroll, revenue, prior claims and other underwriting information.
  • Information collected automatically: pages visited, referring site, device and browser type, and general location, collected through cookies and our privacy-focused analytics tool.
  • Information from others: insurance carriers, wholesale brokers, public records and consumer reporting agencies may provide information we need to quote and place coverage, as permitted by law.

How we use information

  • To respond to your questions and prepare insurance quotes
  • To submit applications to insurance carriers and wholesale brokers on your behalf
  • To service your policies, renewals, claims and certificates
  • To improve our website and understand how visitors use it
  • To comply with insurance regulations, licensing and record-keeping requirements

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide insurance services: with insurance carriers, wholesale and managing general agents, premium finance companies, and service providers who support our website, forms and agency systems. We may also share information when required by law, regulators or a court order.

Quote assistant

Our online quote assistant uses an artificial intelligence service to guide the conversation and organize your answers into an application. Your answers pass through a secure service we control (hosted on Cloudflare) and are processed by Anthropic, the maker of the Claude AI model, only to run the conversation. Property details may be pre-filled from public county assessor records and a property data service (RentCast), so please review them. Completed applications are emailed to our office through an email delivery service (Resend). Our licensed staff review every application before anything is submitted to a carrier.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about quotes, policies, renewals, payments and claims. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive texts is not required to buy insurance. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text consent with third parties for their marketing.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work and, with your consent, analytics cookies. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No website or transmission is completely secure, so please do not send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or card numbers through our website forms.

How long we keep information

We keep website submissions, quote applications and client records for as long as our insurance licenses and state record-keeping rules require, and longer if needed for an open claim, dispute or legal obligation.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and regulatory limits. Depending on where you live, including Colorado and California, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online.

Client Privacy Notice

If you buy insurance through Mountainside, you will also receive our Client Privacy Notice, required by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. It explains how we collect, share and protect the personal information of our insurance clients. To request a copy at any time, email insurance@mountainsideins.com.
